If you're looking for something truly unforgettable in Malta, this has to go on your bucket list. We got to swim and ride in the sea alongside rescued horses with Second Chance Horse Rescue, and it was every bit as magical as it looks. Watching these beautiful animals enjoying the water, knowing the event helps fund their care, made it feel extra special.
It's one of those experiences you'll be talking about long after it's over, and the photos are pretty incredible too. Whether you're visiting Malta or you've lived here for years, this is something completely different to your usual beach day.
Second Chance Horse Rescue is a registered Malta charity that takes in and rehabilitates retired and at-risk horses, so booking a session directly supports their work. Spaces are limited and run on set dates, so it's worth checking their pages ahead and booking in.
