AX Odycy is a large four-star beach resort on the Qawra coast road in St Paul's Bay, northern Malta. It was formerly the AX Seashells Resort and reopened after a full refurbishment. With around 600 rooms and suites, from comfort and deluxe rooms up to family rooms, it is one of the biggest hotels on the island, and it sits right on the seafront promenade with easy walking access to Qawra and Bugibba shops, bars and beaches.
It is set up for families, with an on-site aquapark and splash park, a supervised kids club running crafts, games and activities, and both indoor and outdoor pools alongside a waterfront lido. Grown-ups get their own space too, with adults-only rooftop infinity pools, a bar and a whirlpool, plus a panoramic rooftop terrace. There are several restaurants and bars on site, including the Deck and Keel buffet, and all-inclusive packages are available.
We think it suits families who want an easy, everything-on-site holiday with the sea and plenty for children right on the doorstep, as well as couples looking for the quieter rooftop areas. It is roughly a 45 to 50 minute drive from Malta International Airport.
