The Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Malta Golden Sands sits on the northwest coast of Malta, right above Golden Bay near Mellieha, one of the island's largest natural sandy beaches. It is a large five-star resort of over 300 rooms and suites, most facing the bay with balconies and wide windows, and it is surrounded by open countryside, so it feels quiet and set apart from the busier tourist towns.
For families there is plenty on site. The resort has four swimming pools, including a long lagoon pool, a children's pool and an indoor pool, plus a private stretch of beach with sun beds and water sports. There is a kids' club, a games room, and children's menus across the restaurants, alongside four restaurants and several bars for the grown-ups. The Myoka Sands Spa, a 24-hour gym and evening entertainment round things out, so it works as a base for a stay-put family holiday as well as a spot to explore the rest of Malta from.
It is a 10-minute drive to the Cirkewwa harbour where the Gozo and Comino ferries leave, which makes it handy if you want day trips. As a high-end resort the room rates sit at the premium end, so it suits those after comfort and facilities in one place.
