Hotel Ta' Cenc & Spa sits above the village of Sannat on the highest point of Gozo, tucked into the wild garigue landscape near the dramatic Ta' Cenc cliffs. It is a low-rise five-star resort built from local limestone, with around 74 rooms spread across stone bungalows and freestanding trullo-style buildings, each with its own patio or terrace opening onto gardens or countryside. It feels calm and rural rather than busy, and it is roughly a couple of miles from Victoria and close to the Ġgantija temples.
For families there are two outdoor swimming pools, one of which is a family pool with an integrated splash area for children, plus a hydro-massage corner, while the second pool is reserved for adults only. The spa has a heated lagoon-style indoor and outdoor pool. The hotel also runs a free scheduled minibus down to its own private rocky beach, Il-Kantra, about 1.2 miles away, which has a bar. There are tennis courts, gardens to wander, a bar and a choice of restaurants for lunch and dinner.
With adults-only pool areas, a spa and a peaceful setting alongside genuine family facilities, it suits couples looking for quiet and families wanting space to spread out. Bear in mind the resort is set out over a large site on high, rocky ground, so it is worth checking room locations and access if you are travelling with a buggy or need to be near the pools.
